Plant extraction technology is the industrial foundation of green health and traditional Chinese medicine industries. The rich efficacy molecular components in plants have proven to be mainstream methods for humans to defend against diseases, manage chronic diseases, and maintain health. Plant efficacy extracts are the main raw materials for the green health industry, while plant extraction technology is the core bottleneck technology for developing the green health economy.

This project is based on cross-border innovation led by Dr. Qu Zhican's Nanolattix team, developing high-efficiency, low-cost, nearly zero pollution HENTech nano solution targeted plant extraction technology and production processes (Herbal Extraction Nano Technology). This technology is an innovative scientific utilization of developing plant medicines and agricultural biological efficacy components, belonging to international innovation with the following characteristics and advantages:

(1) Uses special non-polluting nano active solvents for targeted extraction and separation of green plant efficacy components.

(2) Features environmentally friendly characteristics that enable large-scale industrial production with virtually no pollution emissions, complying with current environmental protection policies in China.

(3) The nano extraction solution of HENTech technology does not damage thermosensitive biological components, reduces possible chemical reactions, does not alter the efficacy components, and achieves efficient comprehensive utilization of resources.

(4) Has unique advantages for extracting plant medicines: high efficiency, no pollution; during the process no new impurities are introduced or new pollution sources generated.

(5) Suitable for large-scale extraction production of effective components from traditional Chinese medicinal plants and agricultural products. The Nanolattix team has applied this technology to efficiently add value to 'food and medicine share the same source' plants, traditional Chinese medicine, and agricultural waste.

Efficient value-added development targeting characteristic plants in Shanxi such as Astragalus, Codonopsis pilosula, wild raspberry, peony, etc., has established relevant extraction processes and completed preliminary work on industrial pilot projects. Based on the biological activity of different extracts and market demand, some extracts have been developed into end products. The Nanolattix green health industry module is dedicated to dual-directional health beauty from inside out and outside in, mainly including peony beauty economy, transdermal penetration products, skin health products, food and medicine shared efficacy health products, and development of new multi-target multi-directional plant medicines.

Peony beauty economy: Using the national flower peony as the core raw material and utilizing Nanolattix's independent intellectual property HENTech nano solution targeted plant component extraction technology to prepare peony extract. This has led to the development of a series of skincare products called 'Luanana' centered around peony efficacy components. The product range includes water, lotion, cream, essence, essential oil, masks, cleaning products among others. Five standardized production lines have been established with a cosmetics production license obtained along with GMP certification from the USA and NSF certification from the EU to achieve industrialization and marketization. Development of efficacy health care products: The Changzhi Nanolattix team has built a pilot test platform for plant extraction covering an area of ten thousand square meters along with a cosmetics production center. The industrialized pilot test platform features six lines for reverse flow extraction, tank group extraction, plant polysaccharide extraction, plant protein extraction, functional oil preparation, and essential oil (hydrosol) extraction. Additionally equipped are pilot production lines for tablet candies and solid beverages; over twenty types of tablet candies including wild raspberry leaves and Astragalus have been developed along with over twenty types of solid beverages including peony protein and Codonopsis pilosula. This facility is the largest in Shanxi province and leads nationally providing clients with complete process services from raw materials to processes to products. New multi-target multi-directional plant medicine module: The development application of plant medicines is a hot topic in China's and global health industry development. Leveraging modern molecular biology technologies focusing on research into disease target points and signaling pathways as well as studying the biological activity of chemical components in traditional Chinese medicinal plants to clarify mechanisms of action for plant medicines while employing modern standardized purification techniques to form standardized preparation processes for active ingredients in traditional Chinese medicine. Currently the Nanolattix team is actively developing research on new multi-target multi-directional plant medicines based on Shanxi's green resource advantages.
